I am a Technical Information Specialist working on the Astrophysics Data System for the Smithsonian. Mostly that means I work with digitized copies of historical astronomical documents. Last year I taught English in Kazakhstan, at a business university, under the auspices of the Princeton in Asia program, and prior to that I was a History major at Wesleyan University. I am really excited to improve my technology skills (I'm currently learning Python) and, more generally, I'm fascinated the idea of using programming and the vast quantities of data on the web to create innovative and meaningful humanities projects.
