I have an MA in history and a PhD in religious studies from the U of Iowa. I've taught fairly broadly in religious studies, history, and the humanities, and research 19th and early 20th century religion in America. I was very interested in computers early on, and could program in Basic and a little Fortran. I ran a blog while in graduate school starting around 2001 when it was fairly new, so I've been engaged in using technology with scholarship though I've fallen behind during some of the recent technological advances.
