I'm a historian of technology who studies labor, gender, and the history of computing. I've taught at NCSU and Duke and am currently an assistant professor at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. I'm interested in using digital tools to more fully engage the young engineering students I teach in the process of historical research, and in the creation of academically-rigorous histories that have public appeal/wider applications. I currently teach classes on STS, history of technology, gender and sexuality, and digital humanities & film.
