I am a historian specializing in the Early Modern Atlantic World, with interests in race, religion, memory, and digital humanities. I hold a PhD and MA in History from the University of New Hampshire (Durham) and an MLS and MA in History from Simmons College, Boston. I am also a contributor to The Junto, and a list editor for H-Atlantic. I currently teach at Simmons College and UNH Manchester, and work on The PLACE Project, a $1 million IMLS-funded interface that will make digital collections searchable by location. I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. In 2016, I was a participant in NEH's Doing Digital History summer institute. I co-organized THATCamp New England 2017 with Ella Howard (WIT).
