I am a historian of science and technology specialising in the early history of nutritional physiology and metabolism measurement. I am currently developing a project looking at medical artifacts with several other scholars. The project has a strong communication aspect, and we would like to make these objects and their practices virtually accessible to an audience unable to experience them, but to do this in ways that go beyond the picture/description mode of most online artifact presentations.
