I am Head of Specialized Content and Services at the MIT Libraries where I provide leadership in the planning, coordination, implementation, delivery, administration, and assessment of an array of non-traditional library services and content which are used across multiple disciplines and communities. This suite of robust and growing services is focused around specialized, technology-intensive data types and media. My portfolio includes data services, GIS, images, audio, media services and the Aga Khan Documentation Center. I serve on the MIT Libraries’ digital life cycle management team and heads the Libraries’ research data services working group. In January 2012, my department took on responsibility for the Archnet digital library which is our first major digital humanities initiative. The Libraries are exploring other opportunities to expand services in support of digital humanities efforts at MIT.
