I'm the Director of the New Media Writing Studio. My background is in 20th century American literature and creative writing (poetry), though I've been assigning new media projects (mostly web and video) in my classes for over 5 years. I was impressed by Carr's book, though I don't think he follows the implications of his discussion of Plato to its complete conclusion. I spent a lot of time playing Galaga in grad school. I wasn't half bad.
