I run Rice's Digital Media Center, where I manage digital library projects, oversee the university's central multimedia lab, offer workshops on a variety of topics, and study the impact of technology on education. I got my Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, where I got bitten by the digital humanities bug while working for the Electronic Text Center and Postmodern Culture. I'm currently trying to remix my dissertation as a work of digital scholarship and blogging the process. For fun, I noodle around on the banjo, wrangle my two red-headed kiddos, try to coax tomatoes to grow, and cycle while listening to a favorite podcast.
